Trader
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This policy explains how Trader collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the platform, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data-protection rules applicable to you.
1. Who is the data controller
The controller responsible for processing your personal data is the entity identified below. You may contact us about anything in this policy, or to exercise your rights, using the email address shown.
Entity: Trader
Country: Portugal
2. What data we collect
Account data: your name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google account identifier and profile picture. If you register with a password, we store it in an irreversible hashed form.
Activity data: the predictions you generate, the market snapshot each one was based on, the credit movements on your account, and any profit or loss figure you choose to record against a prediction.
Technical data: information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, and server logs, used to operate and secure the service.
3. What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not hold any brokerage credentials, account numbers, positions or balances. The platform is not connected to any broker and has no visibility of your actual trading. Any result figure in your history is a number you typed in yourself, and you can clear it at any time.
We do not collect payment data.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process account and activity data to provide the service you asked for. We process technical data and keep the platform secure on the basis of our legitimate interest. We use analytics cookies only with your consent. We may also process data to comply with legal obligations.
5. Automated processing
Generating a prediction sends market data to a third-party language-model provider, which returns the analysis you see. That request contains market information and no personal data: your name, email and identifiers are never included.
The output is informational analysis, not a decision about you. It has no legal or comparably significant effect on you within the meaning of data-protection law, and nothing is decided or executed on your behalf.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, and a long-lived cookie to remember your language. Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used. These analytics cookies are disabled by default and are only activated if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings”.
7. Who we share your data with
We share data only with providers that help us run the service: Google (for optional sign-in and, with your consent, analytics), our language-model provider (market data only, as described above), and our hosting and infrastructure providers. We never sell your personal data.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When your account is deleted, your personal data — including every prediction, its stored market snapshot, your recorded results and your credit history — is permanently deleted along with it. Server logs are kept only for a limited period.
10. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), password hashing, access controls and other technical and organisational measures. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the risk low.
11. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these, contact us by email.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority (in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — CNPD).
12. Children
Trader is intended only for people aged 18 or over and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be made clear on the platform.
